Brian R. Crichlow, M.D.

Brian R. Crichlow, M.D. attended medical school at Duke University Medical School, in Durham, NC and served his residency at MCP Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He has also completed a Fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment Disease at a prestigious institute in Florida.

He has received numerous awards including the Metropolitan Life Foundation Scholar Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Study of Medicine.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists (CLAO), The American Medical Association (AMA) and the Christian Medical & Dental Society (CMDS) among others.

James P. Pulaski, M.D.

James P. Pulaski, M.D. graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA degree and from Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, New York. After internship at the Harkness Medical Center in San Francisco, he completed his Ophthalmology residency at Upstate Medical Center.

Dr Pulaski then opened a private solo practice in Ophthalmology, specializing in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery, in San Diego, Ca where he resided for 25 years. To be closer to family, he relocated to North Carolina in 2008.

He is a board certified fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology and member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive surgery. He has written a number of peer reviewed papers for Journals in the field of Ophthalmology. He was one of the first surgeons in the US to perform refractive surgery and helped pioneer many advances in modern cataract surgery.

Willard L. McCloud, Jr., M.D.

Willard L. McCloud, Jr., M.D. is a native of Winston Salem, NC, and a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C, and Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. McCloud completed his Ophthalmology residency at Tuskegee Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tuskegee, Alabama, and has been in private practice since 1981 in Hampton, Virginia, and Winston Salem.

Dr. McCloud is most proud of his work with the non-profit Winston Salem Industries for the Blind. The organization works to provide jobs for the visually impaired.

Dr. McCloud enjoys container gardening and spending time with his two grandchildren. He is no stranger to the South Hill, Virginia area as his wife’s family resides here.

Dr. McCloud looks forward to serving the needs of Mid Atlantic’s patients in both Roanoke Rapids and South Hill.
